I'm mostly just excited to see something new. Too many comics/books/tv shows keep the status quo going forever. Sam and Fuzzy has never been afraid to shake things up and that's one of my favorite things about it.

Agreed, nothing is worse than the old sitcomesque formula of everything reverting to normal at the end of an episode. That's just a cheap way of dragging out the same idea indefinitely. SnF actually feels like it has been and is going somewhere.

Also, great dialogue in the last few comics. Might be from Sam's change of character or just because of interesting exchanges but I'm digging it.

Speak for yourself. I realized it back when he passed up an opportunity to get the financial backing of a major record company. Earl owed Sam and Fuzzy a great deal for getting him the new job as president of the company. That would have been the perfect time to get a million-dollar contract and turn NMS into a non-profit organization so the record company could take tax writeoffs on it. Win-win.

Sam didn't even see that possibility. Instead, he just did his best and hoped that things would magically work themselves out.

Up until the time-skip, Sam never made any grabs for actual power, and it bugged the crap out of me.

If he's had to relax his moral standards a bit in order to do so, fine. More power to him.

Literally.

Very excited to see how this new story plays out. Also very excited to see Gertrude return; Tangent is still my favorite mini-story arch yet. After reading Wednesdays strip I went back to the beginning of the Noosehead saga and read all the way to the end, and it is still my preferred longer story line, the characters, the twists but mostly the humor was so perfectly done. But after re reading that I realized I have been reading S&F since, I think, I was in ninth grade! I am now 25 and just about to start college; Sam and Fuzzy has been around with me for such a long time, and I hadn't truly realized just how long it's been! Mr. Logan sir, I just wanted to thank and congratulate you on all of the hard work you have done and put into this online comic. This series has been a constant stream of entertainment, and it has kept me coming back week after week; without even realizing how fast the time was flying by! The many stories you have told have been great, and although I wasn't the biggest fan of this past branch I am still very excited to stick around and be entertained until the end. So thank you Sam, and congrats on making something that has brought thousands of people coming back all of these years.

Stories like this are fun for me to write because they provide an emotional reaction you can only really get when there's a very long story proceeding it. It's that awesome feeling of an established "status quo" being totally disrupted.

I feel like Noosehead is as loved as it is because of the way it veered off so dramatically from the bookstore/cab years. I really wanted this current arc to feel the same way in relation to the "N-M-S" years. (Although this time, I had the advantage of knowing this was where the story would be going from the beginning of the N-M-S stuff, which hopefully allowed me to write a more organic gradual build to the shift than the rather abrupt Noosehead transition.)

It's cool to see that Cyborg guy (is this the first time he's been named?) is going to be introduced properly. He was one of the most interesting characters I saw in that boardroom.

Also, there's a TV in the fish tank? That's awesome.

Agreed. It's cool that Sam and Fuzzy are building up a rather impressive mythos. Very Venture Bros. in a way.

Also ... was that werewolf about to give Sam a private dance? HAWT.

Double also ... the werewolf called Gert "Mrs. Dupont." Isn't Mrs. generally used for married women? Is Gert married now or is Mrs. something that anyone can just use?
There comes a time, Time Lord, when every lonely boy must learn to dance.

Gert married herself.

When that happened, I was fully expecting Sam to look at the reader and say, "Uh oh, *GULP*", like some idiot cartoon character. Imagine my surprise when he reacted the way a real life person would.

It was kind of intended to provide a little contrast between how he reacted to the... uh... werewolf-sexuals in the original Edwin story. Sam has lived underground for a year now, so I want it to feel like he's a lot less fazed by things.

Mrs. was ALL WRONG. I've fixed it now.

Every continent but South America. Antarctica, meanwhile, has two committees.
