One of these days though somebody's actually going to blow up a van and we're all going to have to question the direction that the lulz have gone.

I doubt it. They keep a pretty big set of checks and balances on each other. Doing something that stupid would beget a raid on yourself, and they all know it.

Anonymous looks like a pretty annoying (and mean) group, but I don't really have a problem with this specific target.

I actually posted this before I found out, but there is a war going on right now. An INTERNET war. This is something we should care about.

Maybe it's just me, but I think Anonymous is biting off more than they can chew on this one. I'm sure they're so proud of making Harry Potter fangirls cry, but taking down an entire international organization by sending prank faxes?

Anonymous started it, sure, but now it's gained attention and it's not just a chan thing anymore. People are out on the streets, handing out flyers, there is going to be a big protest somewhere, people are lobbying to have their tax exemption removed. It's not just a bunch of kids lollin' at their 1337 5k1ll5 or whatever.

The Something Awful Goons are in it, too (linked just 'cause it keeps track of the goings on).

It's like something out of an early '90s sci-fi film and I find it fascinating to watch. To think all the little men on the internet can (and will) come together for a common goal that may actually do something to change the world is fucking amazing.
