I'm trying a game of Nobilis with some friends. It's turning out rather interesting.

Well, if you get any new hopes or dreams, be sure to let me know.

In on-topic news, it's been way too long since I've played an RPG. I should probably dust off some of my half-finished adventures and see about getting one of them fully made up.

Drop me a line if you decide to do one over the internet.

You know, I'd like to try playing an RPG again. I played DnD with a friend a few years ago, and it was decent enough fun. I really would like to give it another try, though I'd want a more interesting premise than what I had with my friend (standard fantasy thing; you're in a town, there are some weird monsters attacking, etc.).

Sounds lame.

I love table top games. I kind of wish I was in one at the moment. It is sad that I am not.

HEY! QUESTION! I guess Jim would be the best to answer but since Nolan has Kharne quotes in his sig it could all work out even better.

Any of you get to play the Dark Heresy rpg? I'm gonna be playing this summer and I've heard it's good but I don't really know the extent to which that's true. I know it's on a d10 system which looked really bad-ass and simple. So, yea.

Never really played the game, but I do have extensive experience with d10 systems. They are really fun and way simpler than DnD. If it is done right it should be fun. I did see the book once at Barnes and Nobles once.

If anyone is interested, that dice roller is perfect for an online game. You can set up an account for everyone to roll on so no one will fudge their rolls. Or if they do you can call them out on it.

I'd be up for a forum game, but I shan't volunteer to DM, I have no experience with DMing.

I'd be up for one. Would be fun. I'm not DMing though. Just finished DMing a campaign so I'm on break.

I've never played one but I am interested, so long as I don't have to do anything but imagine.

I'd like to play, but I don't have enough experience to DM.
I'd give DMing a try after a getting enough knowledge about the game. Hell, if no one else is willing to, I could give it a try, but I might need to ask a few questions along the way.

Just remembered, this has pretty much everything we'd need for 3.5 D20 DnD.

I'm gonna flip through that site when I have the time.
I know I have a 3.5 handbook somewhere. It's the official one. I forget what it's called. But it's the one that has the basic rules and classes and races and stuff in it.

Man, someone brings up the possibility of getting a game going, and the "NOT IT"s start flying almost immediately. It feels just like old times! But don't worry guys, I'll see what I can do about GMing something . . . after all, I'm used to it. Image

Last night, in fact, I did as I said I might and dug through my notes to pull up the campaign setting for DnD 3.5 that I was working on a year or two back. It still needs a little work here and there before it's ready to go, but it shouldn't be too difficult, I hope. In the meantime, what kind of game would y'all like to play? Good, Neutral, or Evil? Kicking in doors or actual role-playing? Lots of puzzles or lots of combat? Etc. etc. etc. The setting I'm devising was originally being crafted toward an Evil campaign, but it can easily be used for . . . well, damn near anything, really.

I actually have the most fun with NPC interaction. Not necessarily anything combat or puzzles. Just, go to a bar and mingle with the patrons, drink a dwarf captain of the guard under the table then sneak outta the city with him in a stolen cart....which is better than a bar fight. Bar Fights end poorly when suddenly one of the patrons also happens to be a rather high level monk.

I prefer Roleplaying and combat. And sorry about the DM thing Jim. I didn't want to do it and assumed anyway that you were the best at it.

I feel pretty silly roleplaying around the kitchen table, but on the internet? There are at least 20 people on Gaia Online completely convinced I'm a real live catgirl.

I'd be down for a campaign, but its been so long since the last time I've played a d20 game I'm pretty much gonna need to relearn from scratch. Hopefully that's cool, since it seems like we've got a couple beginners.
I'm not really working on anything at the moment, but here's a link to my tumblr anyway.
