Webcomics Weekend this... uh... weekend!
Only a couple of days until I fly out for the Webcomics Weekend!
A few folks have been asking if I will have anything for sale at the event. Well... yes! Although the WW is a bit more informal and party-esque than a proper convention, I will still have the usual selection of t-shirts, books, and artwork on hand for anyone interested. I'll also be doing free sketches and somewhat-less-free commissioned artwork on site for most or all of the weekend.
This thing should be a lot of fun! I look forward to seeing some of you there.

"Are there any possibility of desktop wallpapers/screensavers involving the cast?" -Duncan
There are a pair of them in the wallpaper section of the gallery, but they're both getting pretty long in the tooth.
I should really get my butt in gear about updating that section. At the very least, I could add the Noosehead and Bitey the Shark wallpapers -- scroll down to the news post after clicking either of those links to find them -- and maybe one or two new ones.
"What is the real name of Sidney? Here he's called "Sidney Collins"
and here he's called
"Sidney J. Sikowitz". -Edward
Oh... right. That. My bad! I swear it wasn't a mistake. I was just... testing you. Yes. That's it!
All right, I admit it. When I first drew the "Sikowitz" strip, I had completely forgotten that I'd already given him a last name nearly two years earlier. I only found out later, when someone from the Sam and Fuzzy forum pointed it out to me.
Personally, I kind of like the "Sikowitz" name better -- I like the idea that Sid's "the Sicko" nickname replaced an ethnic last name, like those of so many celebrities. But various people have told me they'd prefer I stick with the name I picked first. So, in an epic bout of indecision, I have just left both names in the archive and forgotten about it.
Feel free to make up your own exciting explanations for why Sid has two last names. Like the old Marvel comics always used to say... there's a big "No Prize" in it for you!
"The t-shirt with fuzzy, and ostrich, and a golf club... What is the obscure internet reference so we all can be as cool as you?" -Cassie
The real reference was inside your heart all along!
That's all for this week! See you on Monday.

Toochestonay!
Good news of the day: Grant Morrison and Frank Quietly will team up again to bring us Batman and Robin. I don't generally read a lot of super hero books anymore, but these two have produced some of my favourite comics ever. (And I have to admit, I generally enjoyed Morrison's previous run on Batman, insane, drugged-up and hallucinating rainbow-costume Batman and all.)
Coming up on Friday: Pt. 15 of Help Wanted, and another round of Q & A! See you then.
