Post traumatic
A new Wii Trauma Center game is finally on the way! The completely ridiculous surgical procedures of Trauma Center: New Blood provided some of the most enjoyable co-op gaming I've ever played, and I'm thrilled to see the series will be gaining so many new medical fields to depict with equally gross inaccuracy. How will we carry out the new duties of diagnostician, E.M.T., orthopedic surgeon, endoscope technician and medical examiner? If it's anything like the rest of the series... probably with jar upon jar of magic green "antibiotic gel".

"Is notorious alternative comic artist "Rikk Estoban" a blanket parody of his ilk, or is he a more specific satire?" -Lucas
Man, you ask Rikk if he's a blanket parody or a specific satire and see how he reacts to it. I'll have no part in it. Have you seen how good he is with an ice pick?
That said, a lot of people do see some very specific similarities between Rikk Estoban and Jhonen Vasquez. But I wouldn't read too much into that. Vasquez's work certainly isn't for everyone, but the truth is that in real life he is a very unpretentious and extremely self-deprecating guy... pretty much the exact opposite of Mr. Estoban.
"Is Devahi Indian, or does she just wear a bindi on her forehead for looks? It's difficult to tell race in the Sam and Fuzzy world." - Kevin
She is! I know my art style doesn't always make these things obvious, but as her name suggests, Dev comes from an ethnically Indian background.
But that doesn't mean she can't still be wearing her bindi primarily for looks! A bindi can be a traditional symbol of marital status or religious affiliation, but today there are also many, many places where it is also worn simply as a fashion accessory... both in India and elsewhere.
As for why Dev wears hers... well, wait until we get to know a bit more about her character and see what you think!
"Is "The Eliminator" the reason Sam is so fat while touring with Noosehead as Crush?" - Tyson
It certainly didn't help! I like to think of the Eliminator as just one of a series of poor dietary decisions.
That's it for this week! See you on Monday.

Insatiable
Personally, I always thought The Tamlyn Seduction was overrated. Or underrated. Whichever opinion is more popular with my demographic.
In other news, a new chapter of Platinum Grit is out -- an event that is all too rare a pleasure. If you still have yet to experience the beauty that is Trudy Cooper's cartooning, now is the time! (You do need to download a Shockwave plugin to make the oldest comics work right. But trust me... it's worth it!)
