Doodly Squat
As my twitter followers already know, I totally scored an old used copy of this record on Sunday. Truly, the best pairing of legendary rockabilly guitarist and Elvis impersonator 1977 had to offer!

Sam and Fuzzy Q & A: 2010 Edition
Got a question you want answered? Just drop me an email with "Q & A" in the subject line!
"What happened to O-GAWD? I was looking forward to some guest artists having their way with Sam and Fuzzy. Do you intend on doing it at a later point?" -Andy
I have good news for you, Andy! The "Obligatory Guest Artist Webcomic Duration" will return with a vengeance right after the "Employee of the Month" storyline wraps up.
While some of my favourite artists are providing their own unique takes on my characters, I will be busy building up a buffer of my own strips... strips that will run later, while I am away on my first actual non-convention-related vacation in about eight years. (I am going to Peru!)
"I thought the Bindi was the sign of marriage. That the girl was already married...isn't it?" -Sul
Traditionally, you bet! And in some places, that is definitely still the case. But in other places -- both in and outside India -- it's become more of a general beautification accessory and is no longer meant to indicate marital status or religion.
I briefly considered having Devahi mention some of that in the comic, but I wound up cutting it. It was starting to read more like an encyclopedia entry than actual natural human dialogue! And I have to assume not everyone shares my passion for reading encyclopedias as a leisure activity. (I'm on "G".)
"I'd mostly forgotten about her until now, but seeing the Malcolm comic reminded me. Are Nicole and Sam still an item? She hasn't appeared in a while..." -Emily
You will find out what happened to Nicole in our next volume! ("Employee of the Month" is the second-to-last storyline of our current volume.)
"Did you model Mr. Blank's incognito persona at Sin's record company, Willis, on yourself, or at least how you draw yourself?" -Kevin
Not intentionally! All I was really trying to do was make Willis look as nerdy, meek and nonthreatening as humanly...
...wait a minute.
That's it for this week, team! See you on Monday.

The Wiz
I'm a little late to the party, but I am finally getting around to reading the stellar Wonderful Wizard of Oz comic adaptation written by Eric Shanower. (And published by Marvel Comics, of all companies!) The story and dialogue are extracted almost verbatim from Baum's original book, and then lushly visualized with some seriously fantastic art from Skottie Young and colourist Jean-Francois Beaulieu. It's a fantastic match of authors and material, if I have ever seen one!
The same team is already knee deep in adapting the sequel, "Marvelous Land of Oz." I don't know if they're actually planning on doing the entire Oz series -- that would be a pretty enormous project, after all -- but the series certainly seems to be in the best possible hands.
