"Bat Fuzzy" Begins
The Bat Fuzzy Limited Prints are now on sale, and moving quick! Thanks to everyone who has dropped their hard-earned dollars on one so far. I know I've said this before, but it's always a special thrill for me to be selling actual artwork. I was really proud of how this piece came out, and I'm glad so many of you seem to like it!
Anyhow, come back on Wednesday for our next comic... in which the title of our new volume will be revealed! Picking the right title is always a difficult process. Just look at all the concepts I eventually rejected:
Sam and Fuzzy Subvert the Establishment
Sam and Fuzzy Meet the Family
Sam and Fuzzy Eat the Family
Sam and Fuzzy Save the Environment
Sam and Fuzzy: 1001 Flashbacks
Sam and Fuzzy: Hard Thuggin'
Sam and Fuzzy Meet Ruffles, the Paisley Dog
Sam and Fuzzy React to a Series of Increasingly Bizarre Situations
Sam and Fuzzy and the Deathly Hallows
Sam and Fuzzy's Finest Hour
Sam and Fuzzy Fixed Your Problem
It was hard to let some of these go.

Bat Fuzzy Returns
edit: The prints are now on sale!!
Today is the day! My Topatoco friends inform me that the "Bat Fuzzy" limited prints will be going on sale later today. We've only got a limited number of them, and I'm not sure how quick they'll go, so if you really want one... well... don't put it off too long!
And now, back to our regular scheduled programming!
Sam and Fuzzy Q & A: Guys-I-Can't-Answer-Your-Questions-About-Hazel/Brain/Eric-Theories-Those-Would-Be-Spoilers! Edition
Got a question you want answered? Just drop me an email with "Q & A" in the subject line!
"Do we ever get to see how Alphonso met Butcher?" -Angelica
Probably not! But we will be seeing Alphonso again. Scout's honour!
"When does the story of Sam and Fuzzy officially take place? Is the current story, for example, set in the year 2010?" -Alex
Sam and Fuzzy takes place in a kind of "rolling present." At any given time, the "present day" portions of the comic are meant to be happening right now, with everything that came beforehand placed accordingly. That's why I tend to use qualifiers like "ten years ago" rather than specific dates.
Of course after awhile, all those references to powdered wigs and betamax tapes are going to start getting a little suspiciously dated!
"Are you going to do more Bat-Fuzzy comics, or was the one with the backstory the only one? I love the idea of Sam as Robin! " -Maddie
You never know! Bat Fuzzy has been added to the reservoir of concepts we dip into whenever I want to run some non-story-related "filler" strips... but there is a lot of competition in that reservoir. Bitey and Skull Panda can get pretty vicious.
"What is your favourite Marvel character?" -Lizzy
Spider-man! Sorry, that's probably a pretty boring answer. I just really like the character!
I don't read a lot of super hero comics these days, but I do still follow Ultimate Spider-man and Brubaker's Captain America. In the reasonably recent past, I also enjoyed Bryan K Vaughan and Adrian Alphona's Runaways, and Mark Waid and Mike Wieringo's run on Fantastic Four. (Wieringo was a great talent that we lost much too soon.)
Also, not really a super hero book, but... I miss Nextwave.
That's it for this week. See you on Monday!

edit: Sorry about the technical problems, folks! My webhost ran out of letters. Everything should be back to normal now.

Imminent Bat Fuzzy
My friends at Topatoco inform me that the Bat Fuzzy Limited Prints have arrived, and will be going on sale before the week is out!
A few folks have been asking how long they'll be on sale for. Well, uh... I'm not really sure! It's a limited print, so we just sell them 'til they are all gone. My last print took about a week to sell out, but that was more than a year ago. (And pre-Topatoco!) I made a few more this time, so hopefully everyone who really wants one will have their shot!
I'll post a notice here on the site -- and on my twitter feed -- as soon as the prints go live. Anticipate!
