Desert Bus for Hope
Yep... It's that time of year once again! Desert Bus for Hope... where my friends from Loading Ready Run raise money for Child's Play by playing the most boring video game non-stop, 24 hours a day. Your donations will buy toys and games for children's hospitals around the world, and help extend my friends' torture. It's win win!
Sam and Fuzzy Q & A: Card Edition
Got a question you want answered? Just drop me an email with "Q & A" in the subject line!
"While I love email as much as the next person, I still find handwritten cards to carry an extra bit of sentiment that an email doesn't convey. Last year I got some from Chris Hallbeck's "The Book of Biff" and they were a big hit. I'd love to send a Sam & Fuzzy themed one this year. So will you be offering a Christmas Card for sale in the next week or two?" -Ryan
Yes! We actually have a few Christmas card designs that will be going on sale at Topatoco in the super-near future. I'll be sure to mention it here as soon as they are available!
"Are Dr. Love's ears supposed to be Dr. Crab's scrunched up 'shoulders'?" -Miles
Yes!
Well, that was easy. Here, let me answer your other question.
"Also, does your M/W/F schedule ever annoy you? Isn't it aggravating that you can only advance the story a little bit every other day as opposed to the fast paced method of Andrew Hussie, who can post seven long conversations between four characters, three plot twists, and a major story push (via an amazing music accompanied flash montage) all in one day?" -Miles
Sometimes! But usually, I don't have time to be aggravated. I draw the equivalent of at least six pages of comics every week, or 24 every month... that is a lot by almost anyone's standard, and is pretty much as fast as I can possibly go!
It's true that other formats would allow me to move through the story faster -- and man, I love me some MS Paint Adventures -- but that's not the kind of comics I like to make myself. What can I say? I like having lots of pictures and as few speech bubbles per panel as possible. (Today's comic excepted, of course!)
"The 1337'th comic is coming up fast. Are you doing anything for it? It will be next friday. :)" -Nick
Sorry, Nick. Let's just say that it took me ten minutes to remember why 1337 was a special number in the first place. That probably answers your question right there!
That's a wrap for this week! See you on Monday!
