Last Day to get Book Club Bonus Pack
Today's the day! If you're looking to nab our pair of new desktops and some exclusive Sam and Fuzzy comics, make sure you pick up a copy of Sam and Fuzzy Volume One before then end of today. I'll be mailing out the goodies to all our book owners this weekend!
And remember, club members... today is also the last day to email me your suggestions for future bonus desktops. (Just put "Desktop" in the subject header.) I'll be putting my favourites into a poll that will come along with the bonus pack!
And now, back to our regularly scheduled Q and A feature... right after this big ad graphic promoting consumerism!
Sam and Fuzzy Q & A: Clone Edition
Got a question you want answered? Just drop me an email with "Q & A" in the subject line!
"You seem to be setting Fuzzy up to be a robot clone, but you already said Fuzzy sold his name/likeness to BlamCo toys. Does this mean the current Fuzzy (the one with the memory lapse) is a clone, and if so where is the real Fuzzy?" -QB
Rest assured, friends... the Fuzzy you have all grown to know and love over the last 9 years is not a clone (robot or otherwise), nor has he ever been secretly replaced by one. I promise I would never do that to you. The last thing comics needs is another Clone Saga!
Fuzzy is Fuzzy, and Bonus and the other robot clones are the Buddy Bear toyline. We'll learn more about how they are all connected in our next chapter!
"When does volume two come out" -Benjamin
Not for a few months, at the very least! It takes quite a bit of time to put a book together and get it printed... and we've still got one more chapter of the story to go before I can really get started. I'm hoping to have it ready in time for San Diego Comic-Con (late July), but that might be pushing it.
"In the comic "Harvest, Pt. 7," a small detail caught my eye. In the first panel, on the water tower, is that a friendly bird waiting to poo on the shoulder of an unaware passerby, or is it Hazel, stalking our fuzzy little hero?" -Mark
That's actually Mr. X, keeping an eye on the entire Clover Studios lot. (Which is probably why he was the first one to spot and engage the invading strike team.)
On the other hand, aren't we all really friendly birds, in the metaphorical sense? Think about it.
"Wait a minute! In "Memory Lapse", Sam never actually de-activates the giant Fuzzy brain. He only temporarily disables it by activating the daylight... which turns off again at the end of the story! Wouldn't the computer just turn back on again as soon as it was dark?" -Nikki
I have to admit, I never actually thought of that!
Fortunately, I think Sam is the sort of person who'd have the courtesy to at least unplug the brain after disabling it, and he had plenty of time to do it off-panel. I think that gets me off the hook. Right?
That's a wrap for this week! See you on Monday, team!
