Fan Expo
This is it! Toronto's Fan Expo starts tomorrow at 4pm. As you can see on the right, I'll be sharing the rather unusually placed booth #1600 with my pal Alina from Weregeek. And I gotta say, I'm really curious to see how the location is going to work out. Will people be able to find us? Will we cause a massive traffic jam in the doorway? Come swing by the booth and find out, Fan Expo-ers!
As usual, I'll have a broad assortment of shirts and art. I'll also have both of my books, which I'll be happy to sign and draw all over. Bonus!
(Of course, if you can't make it to the show, worry not... we do peddle signed/sketched books in our online store as well!)

This weekend: Fan Expo in Toronto!
Good news, Torontonians! This weekend, I'll be appearing at Toronto's Fan Expo, along with my pals from Weregeek! It'll be my first year at Canada's biggest pop culture con, and I'm pretty excited to check it out! Who else out there is going to be there? Let me know!
We're still finalizing our booth number and location, but I'll be posting it here on the site as soon as I got it. It won't be listed in the programme -- we decided to go to the show pretty late and didn't secure a spot until after they'd been printed -- so be sure to check back here to find out where we are!
EDIT: We now know where our booth is! Just click the image to the right for the full map!

Sam and Fuzzy Q & A: Finale Edition
Got a question you want answered? Just drop me an email with "Q & A" in the subject line!
"I was wondering: does the current chapter title means it is the last chapter in the whole of Sam and Fuzzy, or is it the last chapter in the volume? Or did it totally mislead me into thinking up either of those interpretations and is completely unrelated to any of them?" -Bernardo
Option three! It's actually in reference to the season finale of Teddy Knows Best.
Hope I didn't give you a panic, Bernardo! There's still plenty of this volume (and Sam and Fuzzy in general) to go.
"I have a rather complex question to ask, how serious of a villain is Sin? It seems to me that most of the major villainy of the story, particularly the whole Ninja Mafia arc was handled by the Blankfaces or other Ninjas while Sin was pulling off what basically amounted to cartoon villainy in the subplot. He got more 'Screentime' so I tended to associate him with the greater evils, but on reflection he doesn't seem quite as intimidating. His plots tend to feel more grandiose and absurd than the Ninjas' which basically amounted to "Determine who to kill, Kill them" with varying levels of deception and intricacy.
Incidentally when I read Sin's dialogue I hear Mark Hamill doing the voice." -Nick
Hamill would be a great Sin, no doubt!
As for how serious a villain Sin is, well... I think this strip from Volume 4 sums it up best. Sin is a self-entitled, self-aggrandizing, borderline sociopathic man-child, but he's not interested in anything as traditionally super-villainous as, say, the conquest or destruction of the entire world. He just wants to get rich, as rich as possible, preferably in a way that demonstrates and celebrates his vastly superior intellect.
After all, that's what he really deserves!
"In strip 261 Sam and Fuzzy have a fancy crown, but then later (in the past) we see Hazel try to steal the same crown. Does the crown have any real mystic significance or is it really just that expensive?" -Tom
It certainly seems to have been significant in the eyes of the then-ninja emperor for some reason or another, doesn't it?
(Good eye, by the way!)
"Now that Fuzzy is the top star on the #1 show in America, wouldn't all of his old Hazel-Brain-Eric clients now know that Fuzzy=Eric? It'd almost be hard to avoid finding out information about his past life, considering how many clients Hazel has/had." -Justin
To answer your question as directly as possible: yes! Anyone who ever met Eric should absolutely recognize Fuzzy as being Eric! But whether they do, whether they'd have any reason to seek him out if they did, or whether Fuzzy will be able to seek any of them out... those are all extremely relevant and interesting questions which I am now going to artfully dodge.
Look, a bunny!
EDIT: Ok... NOW there's a bunny! Stupid broken links, ruining my distraction!
That's a wrap for this week! Come back on Monday for more comics. Woo!
