VanCAF
The first VanCAF has wrapped, and man, it was a heck of a show. Attendee turnout above and beyond our highest hopes, spectacular volunteers and tech support... even the weather was on our side. (A great benefit in a window-walled venue like the Roundhouse.) Over the last two days, I have heard and read so many positive things about the show from attendees and other exhibitors, it's left me riding a serious post-con giddy high.
I am so thrilled for (and proud of) my crazy talented wife Shannon for pulling this thing off. I can't wait to see how many more killer cartoonists we can lure in next year now that we have such a wildly successful year under our belts. VanCAF 2013 is going to be killer!

Vancouver Comic Arts Festival
It's here, it's here! The Vancouver Comic Arts Festival kicks off tomorrow. I hope to see many of you there. (Or at least, many of the chunk of you that live in the Greater Vancouver area!)
Now, to go get ready and help set up the exhibitor hall! Come back on Monday for the full, inevitably exhausted report, along with our next strip.

Mad dash
Things will be a little quiet down here while we all pitch in to launch this weekend's inaugural Vancouver Comic Arts Festival! There's a huge swath of awesome cartoonists coming to town -- some of whom we are housing, and many of whom I am picking up from the airport -- so it's going to be pretty busy!
But worry not... your regularly scheduled Sam and Fuzzy comics will still arrive on time! So come back on Friday for our next strip. And see you on Saturday, VanCAF attendees!
