Happy Canada Day, Canadians! I am not taking the day off, because I am doing mad crunch on my awesome "secret" kickstarter project. It is imminent, team. My fist is hovering over the giant go button, and I can't wait to bash that sucker and finally show you guys this thing.

Anime Evolution

I am off at Vancouver's revived Anime Evolution today! In the rush to get ready (and also work on another important imminent thing), I once again FAILED to assemble a Friday Q and A feature. But I did manage to make this comic, which I think is pretty good! So there's that.

Barring any last minute mishaps, exciting things should be happening next week! Prepare yourselves mentally and physically.

Have you seen this mouse

Have you seen these new Mickey Mouse shorts? It's weird... they have the actual Mickey Mouse in them, and not that creepy personality-devoid corporate automaton that has replaced him for most of the past several decades. The new cartoons are made by a bunch of vets from Dexter's Lab, Spongebob, Powerpuff Girls and Gravity Falls, and you can tell. Just check out the first one, "No Service", which you can watch here! (Or here, if you live outside the United States like I do.) Despite the TV-budget necessity of some modern digital animation shortcuts, it's still a beautiful piece of work, and pretty funny to boot. (Actual cartoony jokes! Go figure.)
