The Final Countdown
This is it... the last three days of the Sam and Fuzzy kickstarter!
A few folks have asked if the Omnibus will be available to buy after the kickstarter. The answer is: yes, sometime later in 2014. However, if you are at all interested in picking one up, I really encourage you to nab one now via the kickstarter, if you can, rather than waiting. Here is why!
-You will get a bunch of extra stuff, thanks to all the stretch goals backers have helped hit! Desktop wallpapers, bonus ebooks, extra buttons and postcards (if you get the gilded pack)... there's a lot of extra goodies to be had, many of them kickstarter exclusive.
-You will get a better deal! When the Omnibus goes up for sale as a regular item in 2014, it will have to be a bit more expensive than it is via the kickstarter. I wanted to give our backers as low a price as possible as a way of thanking them for helping me make my dream project happen.
-You will help potentially make the Omnibuses even better! Buying now helps contribute to our stretch goals, which could add even more comics and content to the books. (And if we're lucky, maybe even a tremendously sexy free slipcase for the hardcover sets!)
Anyway, that is my pitch! Thank you for tolerating it. I know I have been talking about this kickstarter almost nonstop for a month, but it has kind of dominated my life for that entire time.
Will we raise enough to add the commentary/concept art sections and/or make those slipcases? I am crossing my fingers! But man... I can't over-emphasize how incredibly flattered and humbled I am that we've done well enough to even try for these kind of huge additions. Wow! Thank you so much, everyone, for your crazy support. Let's kick butt these last couple of days and then make some friggin' books!

The Final Five
Well, this is it... the final five days of the Sam and Fuzzy kickstarter! I have been endlessly astonished by how well this project is gone. But I know everyone is really hoping we can hit some of those truly nuts stretch goals... so here is what I have come up with to help.
First of all... I have committed to more MONOLITHS! That means there are finally more hardcover omnibuses that come with an original illustration and personalized message in the inside. There are a few different kinds to choose from... black and white illustrations, spot-colour illustrations, and a random batch of cosplaying Fuzzys that I drew at Comic-Con. They've all been sold out until now, so we'll see how long these extra ones last!
Second... a few of the higher end tiers have been freed up as a result of people switching tiers. The original back cover Noosehead art is up for grabs, as is one of the completionist tiers that includes copies of my two long out-of-print minibooks.
And third... I have made a bunch of original marker illustrations! You can click the image below to view them all. If you see one you'd like to own, each one is available for a $100 pledge or pledge add-on. (Or, if you have backed at the Commissioner tier, you can get one of them as your included commission.) Just email me if you'd like to buy any of 'em.

I am pretty happy with how all these turned out. I got to put a lot more time into them than I do with my usual sketch-off pieces, and it was nice to get to work with more characters and more colours!
And of course, if you like the the look of these drawings but would prefer to get a custom new one of a different idea... you can do exactly that, by nabbing the "COMMISSIONER" tier! It includes a drawing of this style, but drawn especially for you, featuring whatever characters and themes you'd like.
All right. Back to work for me. Thanks again, everyone, for all your support! We had one shot at making these books, and you are really turning them into something incredible.

Kickstarter Sketch-Off of Fate Tomorrow at Noon Pacific
We are in the final 7 days of the Sam and Fuzzy Omnibus kickstarter! My backers (who, typical of Sam and Fuzzy readers, are about the nicest bunch of fans a cartoonist could ask for,) suggested some pretty awesome, ambitious stretch goals and have been pushing hard to realize 'em. So I'm going to keep doing my part in the only way my cartoonist brain knows how... by drawing cool things to sell!
The COMMISSIONER (OF FATE?) tier includes a marker illustration of up to three Sam and Fuzzy characters. Now, the pledger can pick the characters and subject matter of the commission. But they can also have me select the characters and subject randomly using a die and this chart! The finished drawings look LIKE THESE:
So on Thursday (tomorrow), starting at 12 noon pacific time, I'm going to go ahead and draw a bunch of marker drawings using the chart, Sketch-Off style! You can watch me draw them on livestream, or just see me post the finished ones on twitter. And if anyone sees one they'd like to own, they can pledge the Commissioner of Fate tier and then request that drawing be their commission!
I'm not sure how many I can do (these drawings are a lot more complicated than my usual sketch-off fare), but I GUESS WE'LL FIND OUT!
The other original art news is I've added one more oversized original art tier. It's the back cover art for the Classic Omnibus, and it's a huge 11 x 17 piece that looks like THIS:
If you'd like to get it, you can nab it via the CLASSIC COLLECTOR tier.
All right! I know this is all a little more complicated than the way I usually sell my originals, but I really want to do my part to work towards that friggin' slipcase. Charge!
