Portland to Edmonton
Thanks for a swell Rose City Comic-Con, Portland! As always, we hate to leave your beautiful city... but we've gotta head home and start getting ready for this weekend's Edmonton Comic Expo. Truly, there is no rest for the cartoonists. (That's how the expression goes, right?)
In the meantime, team, enjoy today's comic. And see you on Wednesday for the next one!

Rose City Comic-Con this weekend!
If you are in Portland this Saturday or Sunday, you gotta come to Rose City Comic-Con! I will be at booth 802 with Aaron Diaz and Tyson Hesse, signing stuff and drawing dumb pictures. And of course, there will be plenty of swag from all three of our comics on sale there, as well. It should be fun!
Sam and Fuzzy Q & A: Conned Out Edition
Got a question you want answered? Just drop me an email with "Q & A" in the subject line!
"The “New Reader” button takes both newcomers and nostalgic readers (like me) to comic 1046. That’s all fine and dandy, but now we’re pushing 800 comics between that and the most recent comic. Any words on when, if ever, that’ll change?" -Jack
Traditionally, the New Reader section has suggested starting at the beginning of the current major multi-year story arc. In the past, it pointed to the start of Noosehead. Since that arc wrapped, it's pointed to the start of Fix Your Problem.
The current arc is my longest yet -- we're in the middle of volume 4 of it right now, and there is still a ways to go! I still think Fix Your Problem is the most logical place to start reading it, but I wrote the beginning of the current Volume, Sam and Fuzzy Ruined Everything, as another potential entry point for new readers, and may update the new reader page to reflect that option at some point.
"Weren't you working on a new website design?" -Susan
I swear, it's still coming. Really! The visual design is done, but there's some new back-end stuff as well, and that's still being finished up. But we're getting there!

Double down
I have arrived in Portland, home of eight-billion cartoonists! It's always fun to visit here... there are few cities as comics-friendly and creator-rich as this one.
I'll be spending a couple of days drawing here -- time to get started on those Omnibus bookplates -- before I go to this weekend's Rose City Comic-Con! (Where I will be exhibiting at booth 802 with my pals Aaron Diaz and Tyson Hesse.) Hope to see some of you there, Portlanders!
