Yeah! Shannon and I pitched them a comic based on a particularly obscure old game called Tower of Babel. Shannon is writing and I am drawing, IN COLOUR, so it should be madness. It starts on January 1st, with a special double-sized update, and stars these guys:

Another question, does the Committee allow for the introduction of entirely new members, not just those who inherit the position? If so, are such new members numberless or are the numbers redivided somehow? Likewise if a member is kicked out by, say, stealing from other members then is their number taken away?" -Jake

I assume the ignored member you refer to is the Ninja Emperor, during the time that the Mafia was disbanded? In any case, each committee member has sworn to keep their respective number a secret from all the other members. It is considered dangerous for one person to know them all, for any reason. So if a particular member's number was ever lost forever... well, good? Now no one can ever know it. Problem solved! Other members wouldn't want to look upset about it, because after all, it's not like they're supposed to want to know it themselves.

The Committee does not admit entirely new members. Each current member is a direct descendant, chosen successor, or recognized usurper of one of the original members. The way the memberships are passed down varies... some are familial, some are monarchical, some are corporate... but in each case, there is an established tradition. When there's a case of unclear qualification, like there was with Sam, it's the other members to decide if that tradition is being met appropriately. And when a member needs to be kicked out... well, that's rare, but I imagine the committee would take them out in co-operation with a usurper internal to that member's organization.

"Wait a second, so in this strip are you telling me that an elephant runs a media conglomerate hidden agenda in the USA . What would be the name of this supposed news channel and what animal would represent it?" -Tom

I think it's pretty obvious, Tom. It's Mr. Tusks News, and their mascot is Ringo the Reporter Rat.
