Aid and Abet
I hope you enjoyed the past three weeks of fun and funny guest strips! But now I'm back in the driver's seat, so here's a comic about a joyless beating. (SPOILER: the beating is not a result of Rikk's reboot pitch.)
This is, of course, the start of a brand new chapter! But it's not all beatings. There will also be conspiracies and intrigue, familiar faces old and recent, and I guess maybe some jokes or something probably. You know the drill! I think you will dig it.
This week, I'm also getting ready for my final two cons of the year... Rose City in Portland on the 20th and 21st, and Edmonton Expo in... uh, Edmonton from the 26th to the 28th. Hope to see some of you there!

Today's Guest Artist: Katie Shanahan
Shannon's guest extravaganza concludes today with this two part update! The first part features our last pitch: Mr. Y's, which was illustrated with unmatchable energy by Katie Shanahan! If you'd like to see more of Katie's awesome cartoony work, go check out the webcomic Shanahanigans, or the wonderful print/ebook series Silly Kingdom.
As for the second part, it brings our little pitching saga to a close. I'd like to extend a huge thank you to Shannon for demonstrating an almost unsettlingly accurate understanding of the entire Sam and Fuzzy cast and coming up with so many great scripts and insane ideas, and to Michael Stearns, Ty Halley, Abby Howard, Sfe R Monster, Ron Chan, Benjamin Dewey, Simon Roy and Katie Shanahan for drawing the hell out of all of them. If you dug this story as much as I did, please let 'em know and thank them for doing such a great job! Now I know who we need to pass the comic off to if I get hit by a bus. (I will try not to get hit by a bus, though.)
A brand new story begins on Monday. See you then!

Today's Guest Artist: Simon Roy
Our penultimate pitch was illustrated by Simon Roy! You may have seen Simon's art before in the pages of Image books like Prophet and The Field. But what you really need is Jan's Atomic Heart art, which collects a broad array of his solo work, and is a gritty, creature and robot-filled delight.
We return on Friday with a special double-comic finale to "The Pitch". Anticipate!

Today's Guest Artist: Ron Chan
Part six of Shannon's guest arc was illustrated primarily (and erotically) by Ron Chan! As you'll see from his website, Ron's work can be found all over the place, from his completed webcomic Roy's Boys to a broad array of print and licensed comics. And as you'll see from today's strip, he sure draws one sexy Mr. Sin.
The third and final week of "The Pitch" starts next Monday! See you then.
