Sam and Fuzzy Q & A: '86 Edition

"I was just going through the omnibus when I came across this little gem. If you look closely in the first panel (it's easier to see in the omnibus), you can just make out the date 1986. If we presume that that is the date that the Buddy Bears attacked, then Fuzzy would have to be in his 40's or something, wouldn't he? Or are you going to make the excuse that they were eccentric and really liked old newspapers in Hope Springs?" -Shparky
The tragic Buddy appocalypse of Hope Springs did indeed happen more than" 20 years before Sam, Fuzzy, Gert and company arrived there in that story. So, I suppose I just put the 1986 date on the paper because, at that time, 1986 was about 20 years earlier in real life!
Usually -- as my New Years comic poked fun at --I avoid mentioning specific dates in the comic. I guess that was a rare exception to the rule! It's so long ago, I don't really remember why I did it.
Fuzzy's exact age is unknown. But if he was already an adult during the Hope Springs Buddy appocalypse, and that was over 20 years ago... then yes, he would probably have to be in his 40s at least! He looks pretty good for his age, though, doesn't he?

Smashingly! At the moment, we're just putting the finishing touches on our draft gamebook text and getting ready to send it to our editing team for cleanup, polish, and proofreading.
Everything is totally on schedule so far. I feel very fortunate to be working with a team as on-task as the gang at DTD. But I guess they are professional logistics managers. Ha!
