Come back on Friday for a new comic and a new round of Q and A! (If you've got a Q you'd like me to A -- about the comic or pretty much anything else -- pop it in an email with "Q and A" in the subject line. Pow!

X Y Z
I gotta say, it sure is nice to have X and Y back to finally join in on this madness. Outside of a goofy side-comic I've been working on for the Patreon pin-up tier, I haven't really gotten to work with them in months. I missed 'em! Overly elaborate break-in stories just aren't the same without them.
We return on Wednesday with our next comic. See you then!

Sam and Fuzzy Q & A: X and Y Edition
Got a question you want answered? Just drop me an email with "Q & A" in the subject line!
"First of all: OHMYGOD THANK YOU FOR BRINGING MY FAV CHARACTERS BACK YEEEESSS!!! Again, not relevant, but I'm just happy!
Second: Are you aware that S&F has a Wikipedia page now? How long has that been a thing? Am I just ignorant?
Third: Why weren't you at Capital City Comic-Con?" -Naiajah
Here's a three-for-one for you, Naiajah!
1) You're welcome! I like X and Y a lot, too.
2) The S&F Wikipedia article has actually been there for a very long time! As the creator of the comic, I'm not allowed to have any say in it being there or what it says, but it's neat that it's there.
3) I was curious about Capital City Comic-Con, since it's in my old home town of Victoria! But I actually already had convention appearances the two previous weekends. I try to avoid doing three in a row... it can get pretty brutal! Maybe in a future year? That said, I will be at the Camosun Comic Arts Festival in April. It's free!
"What was Raphael trying to mutter? Was it in reference to him being lucky, or was there something more to his ramblings?" -Caleb
I don't think there was anything that particular to his ramblings! I think he was just trying (and failing) to remember what he was just doing. Poor guy!
"Arms. Arms! Arms????? It's alllways X's arms! They're like the focal point of this whole comic. X is acting strangely and has mysteriously betrayed Sam? The secret lies within his arms. Y thinks he's done X in for good? Decoy arm. Monster on the loose? Kakapo arm. Sam needs some pit codes? They're probably in his arm. Okay that was Sin's arm but you get the point. Arms are the crux of this entire story! Sin knew this. This is why he has arms for every situation. Rocket arms... Erm. Pit code storing arms. Cup-holder arms. The works.
Anyway. I infer that they went to work for the Cyborg Mafia so X could get a new arm. And now they've been sent to retrieve Sam for his code collection. Although, after my, erm, direct and to-the-point "question" yesterday, it occurred to me that maybe X and Y overheard the bit about their ancestors being gifted to Rexford. And therefore, they've inherited the "bloodline" of loyalty and are coming to help him out. That's my long-shot hope, anyway.Otherwise, they're all doomed.
It all comes down to this next moment. And what X's arms choose to do." -Claire
I would not normally post a question so long, but I thought it was important to include all the details you discovered of the vast Sam and Fuzzy arm conspiracy. Now you know the truth! The Pit... is full of arms.
As for X and Y, as you saw in today's strip, their reasons for rejoining Sam are a little more personal than techincal. I do think they were both pretty hurt to learn that Sam had been lying to them. But at the same time, they want to live their lives a certain (insane) way, and Sam made that happen better than even a lot of the "real" emperors did! (Some of you old-timers may recall how bored and bitter Mr. Black was about his tenure as a Blankface.)
That's a wrap for this week, friends. See you on Monday with our next comic!
