A Classic Gift

Here's something a little unusual for you today! I recently asked Patreon backers to suggest some possible presents that Fuzzy might get Sam for Christmas. My intent was to take my favourite suggestion and do a little drawing of it. But when I saw "a campfire (already lit before he wrapped it, of course)," what sprung to mind instead was this experimental retro comic!

I'd been talking recently with my pal Dave about the idea of making comics that were deliberate pastiches of our older work, and had been wanting to give it a try. So this was my attempt to get back into the mindset of 18-year-old me and do a 4-panel gag "random violence" type joke just like Ye Olden Days. To be honest, I'm not sure if this is more an earnest recreation or a goofy parody of what those comics were like, but hey... YOU DECIDE. Either way, I thought it would be fun to share here, while I'm enjoying a little xmas vacation.
