I never jumped in and rescued you



Well, I got an A on my gargantuan paper, and people seem to like my Scary Go Round strip. All is right with the world.



I've been listening to the Barenaked Ladies' Stunt a lot lately. I think most BNL fans generally consider Stunt to be the band's weakest effort -- or worse yet, the "sell out" record -- but it will always be my favourite. There is an extremely compelling but ethereal quality to the sound of that entire album. I'm sure it has something to do with the high level of production, and it probably explains why it took so long for the band to sound comfortable playing any of it live.



Still, on its own it is a brilliant record, and it's a pleasure to listen to now that One Week isn't being played on the radio every six minutes.

Fictional plastic alibi



Scary Go Round is running guest strips for the next two weeks, and today's is mine. You probably won't "get" my comic if you don't already read the infaliable Scary Go Round, but I don't imagine there are many of you who fall into that category. It is both exciting and intimidating to work with John's characters, and I think I am happier with this one than my last attempt. I can't wait to see what the other cartooning folks have done!



Working in colour is fun! It is the sort of thing I would do more of if it didn't quadruple the amount of time it takes to complete a comic.

I'm handing in my final paper tommorrow, folks. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. And not a moment too soon! I am really looking forward to getting back to drawing comics again. I've been so busy that I haven't drawn a new Sam and Fuzzy strip in three weeks. God bless the 21-comic buffer.
