Leap Year
A little earlier this year, I started a fun little side project on my Patreon, drawing a series of "platformer" video game characters for "leap year". (Because they all jump a lot! Get it? Get it?)
If you haven't seen any of 'em yet, I've started sharing some of the resulting drawings on my twitter and instagram, too! (And of course, Patreon backers can see a bunch more of 'em, and vote for future inclusions in the series.)
This is a fun and (almost kind of therapeutic) little side project for me. I've been playing platformers all my life -- they're probably my favourite genre of video game -- so I just have a lot of familiarity with the many, many characters who have starred in them over the years, famous and obscure, great and terrible.
We return on Wednesday with our next comic. See you then, team!

Sam and Fuzzy Q & A: Popular Edition
Got a question you want answered? Just drop me an email with "Q & A" in the subject line!
"So, which [version of the new shirt] is more popular? Pay Attention to Me or Meow Meow Meow?" -Katie
We sell about three Pay Attention's for every one Meow Meow! But I'm glad we can offer both versions. I like the Pay Attention one a lot, but I think the Meow Meow version is really funny in a different, more absurd way.
This shirt seems to be striking a chord with some folks, which is nice, since I can't sell it (or anything else) at cons for the forseeable future! Even the Meow Meow version, while more niche, is doing better than many of my other shirts. It's even outselling I'm Pickle. Can you believe that?!? (OK yes, you probably can.)
"Was DJ Automaton working as a producer before the events of the big S&F finale? IE: was he working before robots were 'revealed' to the public?" -Chris
Yes, but only in secret! Automaton has actually been around since the Sin Records days, secretly engineering big hits while Mr. Sin was running the label. (They were all credited to different fake humans.)
But now that robots are public knowledge, Automaton has been able to reveal himself to the world and take full credit for all the past hits he worked on. As a result he's suddenly rocketed to being one of the world's most acclaimed and famous producers.
"Be honest... is Jess Star's 'Cat's-themed act' (as seen in the recent Saucy Hippo [Patreon] comics preview) inspired by the infamous 'Meow Meow Booby Sex Cat' comic?" -Dave
OK, yes. Ostensibly it's inspired by the recent disasterous Cats movie, but in actuality it's me setting up a future gag that builds off that comic. But don't tell anyone! IT'S A SECRET.

Banjo Threeie
I like DJ Automaton's face. (Even if it is a pain to draw, haha!)
We return on Friday with our next comic, plus a new round of Q and A! As always, if you've got a question you'd like me to answer -- about our comic, past comics, comics in general, Zim stuff, Patreon stuff, or whatever else -- just
pop it in an email with "Q and A" in the subject line.
