"Uh... how's that kickstarter coming along?" -Dan
It arrives NEXT WEEK! The kickstarter for the final two Sam and Fuzzy books -- Race to the Bottom Part 1 and 2 -- will be launching on Wednesday, May 20th. I am both very excited and very nervous, as is always the case with kickstarter projects! But I've tried to make some really special books and other goodies for the big S&F sendoff.
"I wanted to let you know what I thought about the idea of a Random button on the comic. I think it would be a good idea. When work is slow and I am bored, I often find myself perusing webcomics that I've already read. With comics like Schlock Mercenary, Dumbing Of Age, or Questionable Content. I can quickly find myself in the middle of an arc I half remember and am content to reread from there. I find myself doing this far more often than reading from the start due to that being static and easier to remember." -Julian
I know this is not technically a question, but got a number of nice emails and messages over the last week in response to last week's question about a "random comic" button, so I thought I'd share one here.
It sounds like it's something a lot of people would enjoy having! A number of folks expressed a sentiment similar to the one above -- that it was a fun way for longtime fans to revisit random stories. I also got a few suggestions from folks who thought it would be fun if the "random" button took you to the start of a random story, rather than any random page at all, which would be an interesting option, too.
Thanks for your thoughts, y'all! I will see what I can do. I don't think a "random" button is a default feature of the custom comic archive script I'm using, but I'll see if it's something I can figure out.
"Is your platformer character series dead?" -Alex
It's just resting! I've taking a break to work on some other projects. But I will definitely get back to it! I was having a lot of fun with it, and I'm sure you can look forward to seeing more of those pieces on my Patreon, twitter, and instagram in the future.
That's all for now! But come back next week for more comics, and for the big kickstarter!
