You want to live like common people
It's always interesting to hear an old song covered in a different style by a current artist, but it can certainly result in some strange music. Take, for example, this cover of Pulp's "Common People" by William freaking Shatner. Joe Jackson is in there, too, and Ben Folds produced the track.
It's taken from Shatner's forthcoming "Has Been" album. Most of the tracks will actually be originals -- with music by Folds, lyrics by Shatner and a veritable barrage of famous and infamous guest musicians. It sounds completely bizarre, but I'm a huge Ben Folds fan, and I can't deny the oddly compelling nature of Shatner's voice on "Common People." It's certainly a step up from his version of "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds."

You can't build your house on this shaky ground
Lots of people seem to like Wednesday's strip. I'm glad so many folks enjoyed it, because it makes me feel less guilty for perpetrating something so weird on you with today's comic. It's never funny to use your comic to criticize other comics, but is it funny to use your comic to criticize comics that criticize comics? That's some heavy stuff, man. Or not.
Once again, I find myself updating the site a few hours earlier than I normally do in order to avoid having to boot up the computer later tonight. Ashton is working on something that will allow the site to update itself automatically at a certain time, but until then, I'm still doing it manually. Woo!
And yes, it's the last day to order I'm Communism shirts until November! OMG!

Bandages on my legs and my arms from you
As it turns out, my guest strip for White Ninja ran on Monday, not on Tuesday. I was a little confused, I suppose! Anyhow, said guest strip can be viewed right here if you missed it. Subbing in for a comic as weird as White Ninja was certainly a challenge, so I tried to do a guest strip that was even weirder. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
Three days left to order I'm Communism shirts! They won't be available again until November!
