Beachy Keen

Starting today: the Sam and Fuzzy Beach Party Special! It's partly inspired by "beach episode" tropes of various sitcoms and anime, and partly inspired by those old Marvel Swimsuit Specials from the 90s. (Does anyone else remember those?) 

This entire series was illustrated on an iPad in Procreate, so that I could work on it while I was travelling during the summer convention season. And the beach setting gave me an excuse to experiment more with painted-style backgrounds! Some of the installments are comic pages like todays, and some are large pin-up style gag illustrations. You can look forward to appearances from a whole bunch of my characters, old and new. Woo!

Meanwhile, I am off getting ready for this year's Gen Con! If you're going to be at the show, you can come see me at booth #1237: the BFE Webcomics booth!

Today: the penultimate installment of Downloadable Content! I'm always happy for any excuse to use the word "penultimate". I vividly remember first learning what the word means after seeing it on the cover of the 49th issue of the ALF comic book. And people say comics aren't educational!
