Today's guest strip by
Orneryboy's Michael Lalonde
|
No TV and no beer make Homer... something something
AHH!
COLOUR! And you know what "colour" means (besides the fact that I'm a Canadian)... it is guest artist season!
Orneryboy's Michael Lalonde kicks off
O-GAWD 2004 with the kind of comic that no one can do better: totally adorable, vibrantly coloured chartoon characters trying to off one another. I think this strip even tops the great strip Michael did for me
last year, and let's be honest, it is no small feat to top
mime death.
As you all probably know, I have a bit of a reputation for... er...
"ambitious" guest strips. But this seems to have only encouraged this year's
O-GAWDers to work extra hard and seriously outclass me. Everyone participating has really been at the top of their game... you are going to see some seriously impressive work over the next two weeks.
Remember,
Sam and Fuzzy will be updating
every single weekday for the next two weeks as I try to schedule in all these great comics. See you all tommorrow!

Next week:
OGAWD-II
The Second Annual Obligatory Guest Artist Webcomic Duration
That's right... starting on Monday Sam and Fuzzy will be running two weeks of sexy guest strips, with a new one posting every single weekday. OGAWD! But this is no cause for alarm... I've got a killer line-up of mystery guest artists and a folder-full of absolutely brilliant comic-strippery. Those of you who were around for last year's OGAWD know just what kind of high-quality insanity you are in for.
Don't worry, I will not be slacking off. I'll be spending the next two weeks finishing off this year's X-mas Special. Now, within the Sam and Fuzzy continuity it isn't time for Christmas yet -- a full year has not yet gone by -- so this year's feature will be dipping back into the past... way back. Sam and Fuzzy fans are not going to want to miss it.
I'm sorry to say that I've been really bad about responding to my emails lately. I do like to read and respond to every one, but I know I've still got some from late September that need attending to. I do read them all as I recieve them, incidently, and I always respond immediately to any that are urgent. But I'm a little less diligent about some of the rest. I'm going to take a crack at them this weekend and see if I can get caught up again!

Did you hear the one about Edward III's new bride?
I mean, I knew Eddie said he "wanted kids," but this is ridiculous!
BADUMP TSH!
Holy smokes! Boy on a Stick and Slither is updating three-times-a-week for all of November! That means an extra new comic every Wednesday, team. Seriously awesome!
So, how about this televised election coverage, eh? As I am writing this rant (Tuesday evening), every one of the "swing states" is still "too close to call." In other words, there really isn't anything to talk about yet. But the coverage has still been going on for hours! It must be difficult to fill so much air-time with so little actual information, but I suppose these CNN and Fox News guys have a lot of practice at that.
I wonder how late I would stay up, hoping to find out who has won, before giving up and going to sleep? I suppose I'm about to find out. See you all on Friday!
