Today's guest strip by
Sky Puppy's Michael Stearns
|
Put Book in the middle, he's our friend and we should honour him
Who
is Michael Stearns, you ask? Michael Stearns is one half of the two-man team behind the thoroughly enjoyable PC game Sky Puppy (which you can find out more about by going
here and
here.) He's also a fellow Sonic nut and a talented artist, so I'm happy to have him onboard for
O-GAWD this year!
I hope no one missed
yesterday's guest strip from Liz! Unfortunately, the server was down for a few hours. If you missed out, be sure to go back and have a look now, or you will regret it for the rest of your life.
That's all for now. Come back tomorrow for more HOT GUEST ACTION!

A series of sneaks
The third annual
Obligatory Guest Artist Webcomic Duration kicks off with the slick handiwork of
Stuff Sucks' Liz Groenveld. I only discovered Liz's comic fairly recently, but it sucked me in almost immediately. It's a great little character study with gorgeous visuals. And now that the full archives are once again online, I can finally link to it with impunity!
Run, don't walk!
There will be a new guest strip every weekday for the next two weeks, so don't forget to tune in on the usually-content-free Tuesday and Thursday!
I hope you all had a good holiday weekend! I'm currently pouring over a gift from my parents: the first volume of
Fantagraphics' complete chronological Peanuts collection. I gather that Schultz wasn't really happy with the earlier
Peanuts years, but I think they're some of his best work and I'm thrilled that I can finally hold them in my hands! (Actually, these books have been around for awhile now, but they only really became reasonably affordable when they started packing them in two-book boxed sets.)

Dressed in cobras
Whew! Here it is... the end of Empire! (And, in my opinion, a nice little bookend when paired with last year's Christmas special.
Today's comic arrives a few hours later than usual for two reasons: my computer is much too old to perform well when working with comics of this size, and I am much too sick to perform well when doing anything that requires maintaining conciousness for more than five minutes at a time. But it's here now, and I'm eager to hear what everyone thought of the story as a whole! My email inbox is always open, folks! (Although I'm not very good at actually replying to any of the things in it.)
I hope you all enjoy the holiday weekend! O-GAWD III begins on Monday, which means you can look forward to (or dread the thought of) two weeks of Sam and Fuzzy strips authored by a bevy of talented webcartoonists that I either begged, bribed or beat up. Cheers!
