Pressing matters

Dayfree Press has a slick new website! It was designed by Scott from White Ninja, sliced up and filled with content by moi, and then coded and optimized by my buddy Ashton. This is probably not the sort of thing that you all are likely to get excited about, but it took freaking forever to put together so I'm mentioning it here anyhow. Hah!

A little sketchy

Josh has started up a keen Dayfree Press sketch blog. It's a really cool idea, although I'm not sure if I have anything relevant that I can actually post there myself! But much of the rest of the gang has already embraced it. So, check it out if you want to see Josh's incredibly disturbing catgirl, Jeph's metalheads, or Liz's life drawings of naked bums.

Wouldn't say yes, the body says no

Yes, that scholarship.

Many of you will remember how upset I was when LucasArts canceled the second Sam and Max game, and how excited I was when Telltale Games picked up the license with the plan of resurrecting it as an online, episodic game series. However, once I tried Telltale's Bone game and found that I didn't really enjoy it, my anticipation dwindled a bit. I decided to wait until I could try a couple of the new Sam and Max episodes first-hand before mentioning them again here.

Well, the first three episodes are out, and I'm happy to report that they have turned out great. The first was a little rough around the edges -- primarily in the voice-acting department -- but it was still enjoyable. The two episodes since, on the other hand, have been nothing but rock-solid comedic gold. It's so great to have a couple of hours of new Sam and Max material every month, especially after such a long wait. If you are a fan of the characters, I would definitely check Telltale's take on them.
