I am back from the San Diego Comic-con. Exhausted, but back all the same!

Thanks to everyone who came by the Dayfree Press booth to say hello. There were more Sam and Fuzzy readers at the con than ever before, which did absolute wonders for my heart. (Heart is a code-word for ego.)

Unfortunately, the general floor traffic seemed to be down this year, at least in our area of the con. As a result, there just weren't as many new bodies passing by our booth and checking out our work! It was wonderful to talk to so many people who knew who I was, but I wish I'd had the chance to see more of the people who didn't, too. (Because then, they would know!)

Still, good times were had. Jerry has it completely right... almost all of the webcartoonists on that con floor were upstanding folks and a pleasure to talk to. The exception, of course, was my boothmate Jeph Jacques, who is made of pure evil. Murdering orphans is one thing, but did he really have to leave all the bodies under our table? I don't think he did.

Emily Dupont, aka Gertrude's mother, made a few brief cameos in the Tangent storyline. (And apparently, she has started dying her hair since her last appearance!) But don't worry, new readers... this latest arc will tell you everything you ever wanted to know about her, and then some.

I am in San Diego right now, attending Comic-con International! Why don't you come, too? As always, I am eager to meet new folks and draw some sketches!

In addition to being the largest comic convention in North America, Comic-con is possibly the largest gathering of webcartoonists on the face of the earth. And this year, there will be more of us there than ever!

And as you can see, our booth itself is located right in the thick of an even larger smattering of webcomics authors. Swag As in the past, I will be heavily armed with a wide selection of my books and t-shirts. But this year, I will also be bringing along a brand new item: a fancy™ art print based on the recent Memory Lapse storyline. Each of the 100 copies of this limited run item are signed and numbered by myself, and ready to grace the walls of your living room, bedroom, or baby's nursery (not recommended). I will sell any remaining copies online when I get back, but convention attendees will have a chance to get first dibs!
